Another NCAA week, another panoply of games, each more exciting than the last! This season, adapted, continues to surprise us and brings thoughts about the future of the league and the many possibilities!

The clash between Notre Dame and Wake Forest University football teams scheduled for Saturday has been postponed, due to an outbreak of COVID-19 among Fighting Irish players.

On Tuesday, Notre Dame announced that seven of 94 screening tests performed were positive.

The establishment has therefore put all its football-related activities on hiatus. This suspension will be in effect until further testing is completed and confirmed negative.

Currently, 13 athletes are in isolation, including 10 in quarantine.

“The health and safety of student-athletes are our primary goals. We will continue with our prevention protocols and screening procedures, ”head coach Brian Kelly said in a statement from his organization.

“We knew COVID-19 was going to present challenges throughout the season and we will always put the health and safety of student-athletes at the forefront of our decision-making,” continued the pilot. We can't wait to get the team back on track and get back on the pitch.
